Step 5 — Read the visualisations
Three live visualisations update each epoch:
- Decision boundary — the colour-shaded background of the central panel. This is what the network “thinks” the answer is at every point of the input space.

Which Hyperparameters Actually Matter (and Why)?
Four hyperparameters dominate model behaviour in the Playground and in real production training: learning rate, network depth, activation function, and regularisation. Learning rate alone can change loss by an order of magnitude; activation choice can stop training entirely; depth controls representational capacity; and regularisation controls generalisation.

Depth vs feature engineering
